14th Annual Mushtari Begum Festival of Indian Classical Music and Dance

We are excited to present Canada's Premiere Indian Classical Music and Dance event, the 14th Annual Mushtari Begum Festival of Indian Classical Music and Dance. The MBF is taking place on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at their Venue Partner the Massey Theatre in New Westminster at 7pm featuring the charismatic octogenarian Pandit Hari Pal who will enthrall the audience and hypnotize their souls with his Tabla solo recital , the Dilruba Maestro Baljit Singh who will be presenting a Dilruba duet with his protege Kulwant Singh and accompanied by the Maestro Ustad Amarjeet Singh on Tabla, the Mridangam Wizard Keerthy Raghavan will be presenting his ensemble “Shruti Laya Bhedam” featuring the Karnatik Nightingale Remya Rajiv and Violin Maestro Shriram Rajagopalan, and the Juno/WCMA nominated Ghazal/Tabla Wizard Cassius Khan will present his spellbinding technique on weaving singing Ghazal and playing his Tabla simultaneously with the sonorous Harmonium of the Kathak/Harmonium Maestra Amika Kushwaha. Translators Prakriti Hemmige, Coach Ram Nayyar and Ashifa Tharani will read the translations of the poetry on stage as well and help create the magical flair the MBF is famous for. Such will be the passion and enchantment they create, intoxicating the soul with ancient melodies and rhythms, that undoubtedly, your ears will begin to see and the eyes listen.
