On 16th August 2025, we’ll be leading a guided walk from the historic town of Lydd to the striking landscape of Dungeness in Kent. This is the perfect opportunity to explore one of the UK’s most unique coastal regions, and we’d love for you to join us!
Starting in Lydd, we’ll head out through the flat, open terrain of the Romney Marsh before reaching the incredible, shingle-strewn headland of Dungeness.
The walk is approximately 10.7 miles and will take us through a range of landscapes—from quiet farmland to the wild, windswept shores of Dungeness. Along the way, we’ll take time to enjoy the scenery, share stories, and point out interesting features of this area’s natural and historical significance.
As we approach Dungeness, you’ll be able to take in the famous mix of desolate beauty, quirky houses, and wildlife-filled nature reserves. It’s a fascinating place—full of contrasts, from the old fishing boats and lighthouses to the towering nuclear power station and the stunning bird life in the RSPB nature reserve.
