Not a member of Community Service Council of West Pasco, Inc.? No problem! Please consider becoming a member and attend our next meeting on May 8th at 11:30 a.m. at Seven Springs Golf and Country Club, 3535 Trophy Blvd., Trinity FL, to hear Heather Reuscher (pronounced Rush – er), Development Director at Hero To A Child.
Hero To A Child is a nonprofit that supports the individualized needs of children and young adults in the Pinellas and Pasco County foster care system who have been impacted by abuse and neglect.
Heather’s career began in veterinary medicine, where she served Pinellas County Animal Services and helped launch the county’s first pet-friendly hurricane shelters. She also served on the Disaster Animal Response Team, aiding animals in storm-affected communities.
Driven by a deep love for service, Heather returned to school later in life to earn her BAS degree with the goal of working in the nonprofit sector. She’s since held roles with the Muscular Dystrophy Association, Evergreen Life Services, and for nearly four years, has been a passionate advocate with Hero To A Child.
Her dedication is rooted in the belief that with support, love, and opportunity, children can rise above adversity and build a brighter, more successful future—breaking cycles of poverty and abuse and strengthening our community.
