09-19-2025 Green Industries Best Management Practices

Florida law states that all commercial fertilizer applicators must have a Limited Certification from the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS) (s. 482.1562, F.S.). To get this certification, each commercial applicator must be trained in the GI-BMPs and receive a certificate of completion from UF/IFAS Extension and FDEP. Local ordinances may require that non-commercial fertilizer applicators also be trained.

Please note the following:

Class starts promptly at 8:30am. Please arrive at 8:15am to allow for registration before the start of instruction.

THERE WILL BE A 1 HOUR BREAK FOR LUNCH, WHICH IS ON YOUR OWN. Numerous restaurants are located in the area of the training, or you may bring your own lunch, but please plan to return to class within an hour lunch-break.
