Resisting Criminalization Community Symposium

This symposium brings together experts from various fields to understand and interrupt the experience of criminalization due to health choices and outcomes. Drawing on collective expertise from organizers, community members, advocates and policymakers, this conference aims to address the criminalization of medical decisions, reproductive care, pregnancy outcomes and ecosystems of care in Louisiana and across the Gulf South. Panels, presentations and workshops aim to clarify the intersections of criminalization and public health and strategies to prevent increased surveillance and harm for our shared community. The symposium will feature a healthy mix of grassroots level and advocacy interventions to criminalization as well as opportunities for shared generative conversation and collaboration.

Tickets are "pay what you can" between $20-$50.
