Power in the Pelvis: Demystifying the Pelvic Floor
This class is an introduction to your pelvis where you will learn female pelvic anatomy from the inside out. Together, we will enter into the pelvic core in order to connect to the innate intelligence within the body.
Using anatomy, breath, sensation, and awareness as our guides, we will move through the bones, the muscles, the fascia, and the organs of the pelvis, learning about our own bodies and deepening the conversation within our living tissue.
You will be guided through slow paced exercises that will include instructions on engaging and releasing the pelvic floor muscles as well as exercises that will enhance sensory and motor awareness and coordination in this part of the body as it relates to the whole.
If you are interested in this conversation, please join us. If you have concerns about your pelvic health - this may include, but is not limited to urinary leakage, frequency, or urgency, pelvic or low back pain, constipation, or pelvic organ prolapse - this class is for you.
We will cover the basic anatomy and function of the pelvis and the pelvic floor, its role in bladder, bowel, and reproductive health, and suggestions for taking care of your pelvic health from a whole body perspective.
This is a two session class with the second session building on the first. Please come with questions regarding these issues and with an open and curious mind.
