Come join us at Twelve Mile Limit for a night of incredible readings and performances by Tad Bartlett, Danny Cherry Jr., Christine Kwon, and K.R. Segriff!
Tad Bartlett received his MFA in fiction from the Creative Writing Workshop at the University of New Orleans. His creative non-fiction has been Pushcart-nominated and named a “notable” essay by Best American Essays, and has appeared in The Chautauqua Literary Journal, The Bitter Southerner, Salvation South, The Writing Disorder, and the online Oxford American. His fiction, also Pushcart-nominated, has been published by Massachusetts Review, The Baltimore Review, Salvation South, Carolina Quarterly, Stockholm Review of Literature, and many others. He's been managing editor of Peauxdunque Review, and over many years has appreciated the camaraderie and support of the Yokshop Writers' Workshop and the Twisted Run coalition of world's finest assholes.
By day, Danny Cherry Jr. is an MBA-havin', caffeine-addicted corporate drone. But by night, he's a novelist, short story writer, essayist, and a sometimes-journalist. He's a frequent contributor to Antigravity Magazine, and has written for: Buzzfeed News, and more; and published fiction for Apex Magazine, amongst others.He's the President of Third Lantern Lit, and his work has been acknowledged in Locus Magazine recommended reading list for 2022, as well as the Best American Sci-fi and Fantasy 2023 notable stories list. He was also selected for Gambit's New Orleans “40 under 40” class of 2025. His novel is titled "The Pike Boys" and is available wherever you buy books online.
Christine Kwon is the author of the poetry collection A Ribbon the Most Perfect Blue, which won the 2022 Cowles Poetry Book Prize. She received a BA from Yale and an MFA in poetry from the Iowa Writers’ Workshop. Her work has been featured on NPR, The Poetry Project, The Rumpus, Copper Nickel, and elsewhere. She lives in New Orleans, where she teaches, writes, and loves on her son, husband, and three cats.
Kate Segriff is a Canadian writer and filmmaker. She is stunningly awkward but has an excellent game face. Her fiction and poetry have appeared in the Greensboro Review, Atlanta Review, and Best Canadian Poetry, among others. She won the Edinburgh Short Story award, The Bumblebee Prize for Short Fiction, and the London Independent Story Award. Her debut collection of short stories was published by RIddle Fence in 2024. Her short films have been selected for over 50 independent film festivals worldwide. In her spare time she works as a physician and coroner.
