Collage Workshop

Creating art is therapeutic. Making a Collage helps you explore parts of yourself with introspection, and abandon. For my workshop you In this class we will delve into making a collage using mixed media. will need to bring props or trinkets such as: photographs, magazine clippings, stamps, seashells, or any relics or writings that you can paint or use glue on.

For inspiration bring your favorite poem or music lyric that you find engaging and you’d like to explore further, or choose a subject that you want to delve into, or honor.

Making a collage will be an exercise in cathartic creativity while incorporating visual design elements.

Bring a canvas, or a wooden board in the size you want to create on. I use framed wooden art boards I buy from the half price aisle at Hobby Lobby and paint over the existing “art work” on them.

I will have magazines and other props on hand for you as well, along with Mod Podge, acrylic paints, brushes and glue.
