Please Consider Making a Donation to Support Metro Centers for Community Advocacy

Metro Centers for Community Advocacy’s mission is to break the cycle of violence and aid survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking through advocacy, intervention, empowerment and transformation. Metro currently provides wrap-around services including individual advocacy, information and referrals, group support, medical advocacy, legal advocacy, sheltering, individual support, safety planning, and caregiver support to survivors in eight Louisiana parishes.

Donations: Metro is a 501(C)(3) qualified charitable organization and you can deduct contributions or gifts you give. To make a tax deductible donation, that will aid survivors of all types of violence in securing shelter, counseling, and alternatives to violence, check out the following options:

• Items can be donated during our May meeting or at Metro Centers for Community Advocacy between the hours of 8:30-4:00pm, Monday and Wednesday. Please call Metro for further information. See their most recent Wish List of Items below for ideas.
• If you prefer to make a cash donation, please make checks payable to: Metro Centers for Community Advocacy, P.O. Box 10775, Jefferson, LA 70181.
• Online donations are also now available. Make a secure, online donation to Metro using the JustGive system. www.justgive.org
• Metro also collects inactive cell phones. These phones can be used by survivors to have the ability to dial 911. Please check with your tax advisor to report tax deductible donations.
