Perseids Meteor Shower Watch Party

August 12th is the peak of the Perseids Meteorshower. We've gotten approval by the City of New London to use Bates Woods Park to view this celestial event. We will meet at the Ashcraft entrance to Bates (you can navigate there by plugging in 189 Ashcraft) where there is parking. We will walk down to a nice area to view the night sky at 8pm, when it should be dusk.

THINGS TO BRING: sturdy shoes, flashlight/headlamp, blanket, snacks, water, bug spray!

Bates Friends Forever advocates for community engagement with the woods and is thrilled to introduce the park to more people, this is the people's park and folks should feel comfortable using it!

If you come late please just follow the road and you'll find the group (or text BFF at 336 210 0860)
