Coastal Connecticut as a Maritime Culture: A History in Twelve Objects

Southeastern Connecticut played an outsized role in America’s maritime history from the country’s earliest days through shipbuilding, whaling and fishing. Mystic Seaport Museum’s Curator of Maritime History, Michael P. Dyer, will talk about our maritime history and highlight twelve objects that offer evidence of that story.
