Cardiovascular Institute of the South
500 N Lewis St, New Iberia, United States
In recognition of Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD) Awareness Month, the Cardiovascular Institute of the South (CIS) is offering a free vascular screening event open to the public.
Attendees will receive complimentary ABI and Thermal screenings, which use advanced technology to detect PAD. Screening results will be reviewed on-site by one of our Nurse Practitioners.
NOTE: Please wear shorts or pants that can be pulled up above the knee for accurate testing.
More than 20 million Americans suffer from Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD)—a circulatory condition where narrowed arteries reduce blood flow to the limbs, often affecting the legs. If left untreated, PAD can lead to serious complications, including amputation and heart attack.
This screening will include both Ankle-Brachial Index (ABI) and Thermal Imaging assessments, with on-site interpretation by a CIS interventional cardiologist.
🎟 Space is limited. Registration is required.👉 Call (985) 873-5688 to reserve your spot or for more information.
