Shambhu the compassionate...the Destroyer during His Rudra-Taandav...the ultimate Yogi in His meditative best...the wild Jataadhaari who indulges in Tantra...Nataraja the Artist...Neelkanth the Saviour of Universe...
Lord Shiva carries many an epithet on His shoulders!
Popularized by umpteen movies TV shows calendar art over the ages...and now as fiction with the tales of Meluha...He is the Devo Ke Dev...Mahadev!!
She is the Divine Mother, the Feminine Energy, the Benevolent, the Destroyer, the Life Giver — Uma, the Divine Devi — the Mother Goddess Durga, whose company keeps the Bholenath steady in his celestial ride across the Universe and Time.
Together, their cosmic union manifests as Ardhanarishwar — the ultimate symbol of balance, where Shiva and Shakti exist as one, inseparable and eternal.
In this current month of Sawan/Sharavan which is considered one of the most auspicious times of the year to worship Lord Shiva, we at DBF in collaboration with the storytellers of "Ek Din Ki Baat Hai" present to you a retelling of the many less-known tales of Shiva & Parvati...
A morning walk & talk that will fill your souls with stories of the Lord's valour, devotion, anger, humour, knowledge and even a few faux pas of our beloved "Bholenath"!
So gather round with us in the National Museum's treasure trove of the many forms & representations of Mahadev for this unique storytelling session.
