“"An absolute delight of a morning walk at Buddha Garden! Engaging & Informative: The walk struck a wonderful balance between a peaceful nature stroll and an educational tour. Flora Expertise: I learned so much new, fascinating knowledge about the trees and plant life thriving right in our city. Historical Depth: Weaving in stories about Delhi's history gave us a completely new perspective on a familiar landscape. It was wonderfully time well spent outdoors with a great group of people. Highly recommended to anyone looking to connect with nature and history alike!"”
“Excellent walk! ”
“I loved the stories, the discussions, the excellent group of people who came for the walk. An excellent sunday morning spend..I'll be attending more from them.”
“It was very enlightening. Mariyam was wonderful ”
“Engaging, informative, good fun over sumptuous breakfast!”
“Lovely saawan morning with DBF. Very enriching session. Enjoyed every bit of it”
“Event was pretty great. Learnt so much about lesser known parts of Delhi’s history and saw some monuments of whose existence I was previously unaware. Only drawback was that the event could not start on time due to late arrivals of some of the guests. If a solution can be found to that it would be great. ”
“The walk had a unique theme and delivered on it - Maryam is a very knowledgeable guide and the stories she told from history really made the walk come alive. Despite the 3 hour duration of the walk it did not feel tiring because she knew where to stop to allow the group rest. ”
“The walk was exactly what it promised -- an Ode to India's diversity.. Starting with the visit to the Yogmaya Mandir built by Arjun, then the St John's Church, The Gurdwara dedicated to Baba Banda Singh Bahadur, Zafar Mahal, the Dargah of a Sufi saint -- it was an eye opener in many ways. Our guide, Mariyam, was knowledgeable and sweet tempered, patiently answering our queries. This walk was a perfect showcase of our Ganga Jamuna culture and the best way to spend Republic Day. Loved the breakfast of Kachori Sabji too.”
“Great narrative. Loved the walk ad talk.”
“Enjoyed the walk . It was very informative as well as interesting.”
“The walk was very interesting. Our walk leader Maryam along with subject expert Priyanka made the entire experience very enjoyable with such mesmerizing stories about the place and people. The feel of Nizamuddin dargah while hearing about Amir Khusrow, Mirza Ghalib and some couplets from their poetry collection was an unforgettable experience. The only offset was the hot and humid weather which despite of a beautiful place, wonderful company and interesting stories made us feel little uncomfortable, specially to my 11 year old daughter who otherwise found the walk very interesting.”
“It was a well curated walk led by Mariyam,as always she made it very interesting”
“It was a fantastic experience....Maryam made history come alive and gave us a truly visual experience...very enriching....along with historical facts...lots of lesser known and delightful nuggets! And not just about Qutub Minar but on Delhi as a whole...the various cities within the city! Many thanks and look forward to attending more walks but in cooler weather! :)) ”
“As usual the National Museum walk organised by DBF was very immersive which I enjoyed thoroughly ”
“To know Delhi more nd more is always interesting… i did so many walks with DBF nd love to do more in future ”
“This was my second walking tour with DBF and it's always a pleasure to be around Ramit and Mariam and their treasure trove of knowledge. The tour included insight into the Jama Masjid, the moving experience of iftar with hundreds of people and a scrumptious dinner at Shahi Mehfil. The planning was seamless and as always it was lovely making friends in the tour group. ”
