Please join us on May 29th and 30th for the 3rd Annual New Jersey Band Directors Conference. This year's event will take place at Rutgers University once again and will feature several local and national leaders in our profession. We have tried to schedule clinicians specializing in all grades of band directing and have made sure their topics could be applied to a range of band levels. A summary of presenters and topics can be found below.
MICHAEL POTE - Carmel High School Bands, IN, High School specialist- on Harmony Director Training and the rehearsal methods they use to teach the Carmel Bands.
TIFFANY HITZ - Robinson Secondary School, VA, Middle School specialist – Presenting “Making Your Garden Grow: Instilling a Growth Mindset to Foster Motivation, Leadership, and Musicianship in Instrumental Ensembles.” Tiffany will also present a joint session with composer Tyler S Grant entitled “Supercharge your Rehearsals: Using Composition Guides to Unlock Your Ensemble’s Maximum Potential.”
TODD NICHOLS - Rutgers University, NJ – Presenting “We’re All in This Together – the importance of community building in your music program.”
ADAM GUMBLE - West Chester University, PA – Presenting “Simple Systems for Better Bands - Pros and Cons of Ensemble Development.”
TREVOR SINDORF - Westfield Public Schools, Elementary School specialist presenting “Con your percussionists into enjoying fundamentals.”
SHARBEL SKAFF – CEO of Silent Command presenting “NJ Takeover: Leadership & Movement Clinic
