All five senses will be engaged during this painting activity! We will see, hear, and feel non-toxic paint, and we will make paint that is safe to smell and even taste! All supplies will be provided to registered participants. We will be enjoying an outdoor classroom in a screened-in pavilion sitting over the marsh. The walk from the parking area to the comfort station is approximately 300 feet over grass, gravel, and pavement, with some small hills. From the comfort station to the pavilion is approximately 900 feet over grass, gravel, pavement, and boardwalk. Inside the pavilion we will have only natural light and will be seated on park tables. Wind will come through the screens, and swallows nesting under the pavilion overhang will fly back and forth from the structure to the nearby boardwalk railings. We may hear birds and frogs calling, as well as other park visitors walking by.
Cost is $5.00 per person, ages 5-17 welcome. A maximum of 20 people may register, with a minimum of 10 people registered to conduct the program.
