Hike along wetland paths in search of seeds with unique approaches to planting their roots. This program does include a hike which will be up to two (2) miles. We will be walking on dirt/gravel, grass, and board walk. Park in the main parking area and meet at the trail map west of the restroom.
Cost is $6.00 per child and free for one adult chaperone per child ticket. A maximum of 30 people may register, with a minimum of 10 people registered to conduct the program. No more than five children per one adult in a group. No refunds, if it is canceled by Wayne County Parks, we will add a credit to your account for a future program. Parents/chaperones must accompany children at all times during our programs.
We are currently changing software for registration; therefore, for interpretive programs from October 1st until December 31st, please call the Wayne County Parks front desk to register (734-261-1990). Note you will need to pay over the phone by credit card or come into the Nankin Mills Interpretive Center (Westland) to pay by cash, credit card (Visa/Mastercard), or check. Hours are between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM Monday through Saturday, closed Noon-1:00 PM for lunch. Registration closes October 13th at 8:00AM. For more info, please call 734-261-8991
