Family Fishing Day

Wayne County Parks is partnering with Scouting America to bring free fishing, hikes, and workshops featuring casting, fly fishing and fileting a fish, as part of the Department of Natural Resources Free Fishing Weekend. Fishing licenses are NOT required. Bait and a limited number of fishing poles are provided.

If your child is one of the first to complete a workshop passport they will receive a FREEE FISHING POLE!

Bait and a limited number of fishing poles are provided. Parents/chaperones must accompany children at all times during our programs. No Registration required! Meet at the fishing pier south of the parking lot.

Photo Policy: The staff of Wayne County Parks often take photos of participants taking part in sponsored programs or enjoying the parks. Please be aware that these photos are for promotional purposes to be used on the Wayne County website, in Wayne County Parks brochure and flyers, on social media and in newspapers without compensation. Participants consent to being photographed for such purposes, unless Wayne County Parks staff is notified otherwise.
