Flag Retirement Ceremony

Join us at Dixon-Conderman VFW Post 2514 for a dignified Flag Retirement Ceremony honoring our nation's flag.

On Saturday, February 21, 2026, at 2:00 PM Eastern Time, the outstanding cadets of the West Craven High School Air Force Junior ROTC will conduct this meaningful ceremony to properly retire American flags that have served their time and are no longer fit for display.

This traditional service respects the symbol of our freedom and the sacrifices it represents. All are welcome—veterans, families, community members, and anyone who wishes to see their worn flags receive a proper farewell.

Please drop off any unserviceable U.S. flags you would like retired in advance at the Post (3850 Butler Rd, New Bern, NC 28560) during regular hours before the event.

We look forward to honoring Old Glory together.
