FAQ:
Can I leave and come back to shoot later in the day?
-yes, if you paid for one day, you may shoot that entire day during safe shooting hours. If you pay for both days, you may shoot during safe shooting hours starting at 8 am and ending at shoot close on Sunday (TBA- usually 3 or 4 pm). You may leave and return as needed. We encourage you to support our club by enjoying what we have to offer in food, drink, raffles, and entertainment in between.
Are there showers on site?
- no, we do not have showers. We have a clubhouse and bathrooms
I don't hunt, is this shoot still for me?
-if you enjoy shooting foam targets with your bow outdoors, this event is for you. Our club was founded by bowhunters looking to practice for the upcoming season and enjoy archery with friends. Therefore, our 3d courses feature hunting scenarios through the woods, all targets will be rinehart animal targets on the 3D course. We welcome all bows (no crossbows) that shoot field tipped arrows safely. Note that some shots may be elevated, or require close quarters/tighter spaces near trees. If you have further questions please reach out.
Can I shoot broadheads?
-No, broadheads are not allowed at this event
What is scored, how does that work?
-You will get 1 score card per registration. You must use the same equipment/stay in the category for equipment marked when you registered on that score card. 2 ranges will be decided for scoring and you will score 56 total targets on those ranges for a final score. We may post scores and names publicly. If we cannot read your scorecard, or believe rules were not followed, we may toss your score. You can shoot unlimited times per day purchased without scoring and can change up equipment.
Do you rent equipment (bows, arrows) at Founders Day Shoot?
- at this time, we do not rent equipment. Some shoots may have vendors selling equipment and we allow the sale/trade of archery equipment between patrons at their own risk. Reach out to event contact for details. If you are looking for archery equipment, we recommend checking out local shops such as West Town Archery and BK3 Archery (and thank them for being great sponsors of our Youth Day event) for equipment purchase and lesson opportunities. Blain's Farm & Fleet may have limited archery equipment for sale, also a supporter of our Youth Day event. WI Bowhunters Association has a bow loaner program for new hunters but with limited quantities. For kids, we have a Youth Day event July 26 at 11 am that will feature free equipment for kids to try on our practice range with free instruction.
