Special Performance: "Casey at the Bat: A Ballad of the Republic, Sung in the Year 1888"

One, two, three strikes you're... invited to a historical presentation and performance! Join us as Hoosier history buff Gib Young discusses the life of New Albany native and professional baseball legend Billy Herman. Gib will also speak on the history of Ernest Thayer's iconic poem "Casey at the Bat: A Ballad of the Republic, Sung in the Year 1888" before performing the poem in the original style of early American vaudeville.
