A Night to Celebrate: Closing Night After-Party at Chatti

Following the screening, the celebration will continue at Chatti, one of New York’s newest culinary gems. Helmed by acclaimed chef Regi Mathew, the restaurant offers bold, contemporary interpretations of Kerala cuisine—making it the perfect setting to toast the future of Indian cinema.

Synopsis:
Seven year old Thomas, the only child of his parents, desperately wants a little brother. One day, he is told that to get a baby brother his parents will have to kiss. Since his quarrelling parents won't kiss any longer, little Thomas takes it upon himself to make them do the yucky act!

Kaushal Oza is an alumnus of FTII, Pune and a two time winner of the National Film Award. Born and raised in Bombay, Kaushal trained for 5 years in the inter-collegiate circuit. He then joined FTII and graduated in Film Direction. His first short film, Vaishnav Jan Toh, won the National Award for the Best Debut Film of a Director. It was followed by his second short film, Afterglow, which too won the National Award making Kaushal the only FTII student in the illustrious history to have won the coveted award for consequtive short films. The film was also a part of a package of Best Short Films in 100 years of Indian Cinema in the Clermont Ferrand Short Film Festival. In 2021, Kaushal founded Luminoso Pictures and the production house's first project was the short The Miniaturist of Junagadh. Kaushal wrote and directed the film starring Naseeruddin Shah, Rasika Dugal, and Raj Arjun. The film premiered at New York Indian Film Festival and was screened in over 25 International Film Festivals garnering 7 Best Film Awards.
