Chili Challenge on Flagler Avenue

Mild, hot, medium or spicy, come taste different styles of chili at the New Smyrna Beach Chili Challenge on Saturday, October 18th, 2025, from 1pm to 5pm, on Flagler Avenue! You'll be able to sample different style of chili's from host locations along Flagler Avenue. During the event, tasters can vote for their favorite Chili and the winning host locations will receive the “Best at the Beach” awards.

The Chili Challenge patrons use their tasting passports and spoons, to visit the host sites and sample chili! Pre-registration tasting passports are $20 and can be picked up at the Cooper Street and Flagler Avenue Intersection on the day of the event.

A LIMITED NUMBER of Chili Cook-Off Passports will be for sale for CASH ONLY starting at 1230pm on the day of the event, at the "Welcome Tent". This tent is located on the S.Cooper and Flagler Avenue Intersection.

Parking is plentiful throughout the Flagler Avenue arts-entertainment-shopping district on pocket parking lots, side streets and lots behind many of the businesses.
