Natasha Sanchez is a New Orleans-based artist, songwriter, performer, and educator who blends photography, music, and storytelling to capture the world’s beauty and complexity. Whether she’s performing onstage or developing images in the sun, her work is fueled by curiosity and an appreciation for life’s details.
Sanchez specializes in lumen printing, a 19th-century cameraless technique that uses sunlight to create striking, one-of-a-kind images. Her prints feature natural objects she collects—leaves, flowers, and fragments of the world around her—transforming everyday finds into visual narratives.
As a singer-songwriter, her reflective, storytelling-based songs pull from personal experiences, delivered with an expressive voice that makes every performance feel intimate.
She also teaches lumen and cyanotype printing workshops, including “Sun Print Sundays”, inviting participants to slow down, engage with nature, and create something unexpected.
