Celebrate Mother’s Day by preserving the special memories and stories that have shaped your family! Join us for an afternoon workshop where we’ll explore the importance of archiving photos and personal histories, with a special focus on memories of our matriarchs. This hands-on event, hosted by Lede New Orleans, invites you to bring your cherished images of the women who have impacted your life and learn how to properly store and protect them for future generations.
We are so excited to partner with archivist Felli Maynard for this workshop, where they will guide you through the preservation process while fostering meaningful conversations about the women who have shaped our lives.

Info: Participants will each be encouraged to share out about one photo they brought
Info: Felli will walk through practical ways to archive and protect your photos and memories, including:
- How to use preservation starter kits (you’ll receive one!)
- Scanning basics
- Where and how to store your files
Info: Participants will rotate through three interactive stations:
1. Preservation Station – Fill out worksheets and protect two of your photos using archival materials.
2. Scanning Station – Get your images scanned and uploaded to the Lede NOLA Archive and/or your own personal drive
3. Portrait Station – Have a simple portrait taken to add your presence to the archive
