Gun violence is a public health crisis that deeply impacts individuals and communities. In
this presentation, we will discuss the prevalence and risk factors of gun violence and hope
to raise awareness about the psychological impacts of gun violence. We will also examine
the correlation between gun violence and the development of mental health issues which
can negatively impact psychosocial engagement. We also hope to address the critical
need for accessible mental health resources and provide strategies for supporting those
affected by gun violence through prevention, recovery, and engagement.
