We’re excited to welcome SDRHC grantees and partners who have supported or contributed to the growth of North Carolina’s State Designated Rural Health Center (SDRHC) Program. This in-person event is a chance to reflect on our progress, share promising practices, recognize outstanding contributions, and strengthen our network for the year ahead.

All current SDRHCs are REQUIRED to participate. At least one representative from your organization must plan to attend the event.

Additionally, staff from the NC Office of Rural Health and partners who:

• Support SDRHCs
• Contribute to SDRHC growth and program implementation
• Are ready to engage and collaborate meaningfully with others

• 🧱 Hands-on Collaboration: Participate in our “Brick-O-Lage” activity (with Legos!) to explore how diverse resources come together in rural communities.
• 🗓️ Year in Review: Share reflections and highlights from the past year.
• 🧠 Best Practice Scenario Activity: Work with peers to explore real-world scenarios and discuss lessons learned.
• 🧩 Program Updates + Kahoot Fun: Stay current with program updates—and test your knowledge while you’re at it.
• 🏆 Awards + Panel Discussion: Celebrate excellence and gain insights from a dynamic panel of rural health leaders.
• 🌟 Inspiration & Strategy: Hear from voices offering practical wisdom and encouragement for the road ahead.
• 🥗 Breakfast & Lunch Provided: Come hungry and stay energized.

Awards of Excellence Nominations are open now! Nominations may be submitted for consideration by way of self-nomination, peer nomination (i.e., AHEC coach, community partners, patients, etc.), or by their Operations Specialist.

The link will be made available April 24th through May 9th. Review of submissions will occur May 12th - May 19th, with award decisions being made by the Operations Team on May 21st.

• Most Valuable Player (MVP)

Join us in attending the 46th Annual Primary Care Conference at the gorgeous Riverfront Convention Center in New Bern, NC on June 5 and 6, 2025. Each year, more than 300 administrators, providers, advocates, and others invested in NC health care join together for three days of learning, networking, and exchanging best practices at NCCHCA’s Primary Care Conference. While the event is not required, it is highly recommended that SDRHCs consider attending. Staff Development funds may be applied toward your attendance.
