The Rotary 2025 Cardboard Boat Regatta Race will be held on August 17th at the Fawcett Family Aquatic Center in Nevada. The event aims to raise funds for Harrington Park and will feature cash prizes for categories such as Grand Champion, Speed Boat Award, Star Design Award, and Titanic Award.
Check-in is at 4 PM, judging at 4:30 PM, and the race begins at 5 PM. The entry fee is $20 per boat, with a $1 spectator fee. Boats must be made of cardboard and can be assembled using duct tape, glue, paint, varnish, zip ties, rope, or string. Decorations are allowed as long as they don't affect structure or buoyancy. Participants must provide their own wooden paddles.
Each boat must carry at least two and a maximum of four team members, all of whom must be 18 years or older. All participants must wear a PFD (personal flotation device) at all times while in or on the water and are responsible for providing their own. Boats must pass inspection before racing.
