As the days wind down, excitement builds and gets closer to our album SNAKES BITE TALES release at FREAK VALLEY FESTIVAL
Things come to mind…
I, (Bill), have such the fondest memories of our 3rd year playing there at FVF and the birth of the *WAKE AND BAKE* stage. And it kinda went like this….

Telephone call between me and Jens:
B—
hey Jens, I was thinking to make a big 20 man military tent at the camping area and at 12noon we open the flaps and make a generator party.. get the people up and pumped for the first bands in the valley, what ya think?
J— uhhhh, cool idea but let me check because camping is up on top of the big ass hill, the sound will go for miles and that might not be cool for the neighboring towns…
B— ok.
(3 days later…)
J— hey bill, umm, it won’t work but, motorpycho wants a bigger stage so you can have our old one and play Friday and Saturday morning down in the valley if you like, each day 1 hour….
B— cool! …. But… 2hours at noon just for us… hmmm can I bring some bands with to fill the time?
J— yeah sure man, I trust you… let me know.

So with that, I called one by one,our local heavy/stoner/doom/rock/call it what the fuck you like.. music but is our local scene, they were extremely excited and we all showed up to FREAK and birthed the wake and bake stage. And with each one of those bands I’ve tracked some VOX on their albums. I’m happy to say some of them returned the favor and backed me up on our new album recordings, that BUSHFIRE will be premiering on that same stage this year.
