The Bowery, a Pictorial History: Talk with author David Mullins

On August 9, join the Asbury Park Historical Society, in partnership with the Ocean Grove and Bradley Beach Historical Societies, for a special evening at the Jersey Shore Arts Center. 🎭

We’re thrilled to welcome David Mulkins for an illustrated book talk inspired by his new release, The Bowery—a rich pictorial history of America’s oldest street and first entertainment district. From shopgirls to sailors, immigrants to artists, the Bowery helped shape American culture—and Stephen Crane captured it like no one else.

We're also excited to hear from ragtime pianist Ramona Baker, bringing the era to life! Don't miss this exciting walk into history!
