About the event
The Chickening 2: Return of the Cluck
It's happening. Again.
You are cordially invited to the featheriest event of the year. We are harvesting our flock of chickens, and would love it if you could come and lend a hand, drink a beverage, meet some people and perhaps learn a little about the process of where the most consumed meat in the world comes from.
Our flock of 35 has been lovingly raised right in our back yard, we feed them on (stupidly expensive) organic feed and give them tons of room in which to play. They are happy, which means we are happy.
It doesn't matter if you've never done this before (hell, I hadn't before last year), and we welcome anyone who has even a passing interest in this process to come and help or even just watch.
We'll likely be going all day. It takes a while for a bird to be processed. Come for the whole thing, come for an hour, honestly I would just fully appreciate the support of our community.
Anyone who comes and helps is welcome for a roast chicken dinner at a later date. Our thank you to you.
