Richmond Library - Repurposed Dolls Exhibition

Repurposed Dolls is an exhibition of transformed porcelain dolls, brought back to life using discarded bric-a-brac: tarnished silverware, tangled necklaces, broken trinkets, forgotten treasures. Each doll becomes a unique piece of art, infused with character, story, and the spirit of renewal.

As a volunteer at the Hospice Charity Shop, Tina Williams has come to appreciate the quiet beauty—and challenge—of overlooked objects. Among the most difficult to rehome are porcelain dolls. Outdated and often unwanted in their original form, they sit unsold, gathering dust. This project reimagines their future.

All sales from the exhibition will go directly to the Hospice Charity Shop, supporting their ongoing mission. This project not only breathes new life into neglected objects but also draws attention to the role of creativity in community care and circular economy.
