On BEAUTY, As We Come to it in the Forest" Film Showing & "Vol II: SYLVAN REFLECTIONS" Book Reading

Slocan Valley artist/author/film-maker Barbara Brown is showing her latest film, "On BEAUTY As We Come to it in the Forest" and reading from her book "Volume II, SYLVAN REFLECTIONS: Wanderings, Paintings & Ponderings from the Forest".

With stunning old-growth forest footage by cinematographer @Isaac Carter of @ICandyFIlms and a gorgeous original soundtrack by composer @Noel Fudge, the film is a half-hour deep dive into the beauty, magic and teachings of the forest.

As Brown says in the film: "Come, let's go for a walk together in the forest and contemplate Nature's Beauty. Let's revel in the Beauty of Nature, and ponder the Nature of Beauty...as we come to it in the forest."

The film is a companion to her second SYLVAN REFLECTIONS book of her paintings, poems and poetic prose – all inspired by time spent in the woods. She will read a few passages from the book after the film.
