Start Times
To minimise the time our crew are having to wait at the top of the hill, we are having the following start times:
1:45pm: Casual Walkers
2:00pm: Quicker Walkers & Slower Runners (more than 34mins for a flat 5km)
2:15pm: Main Runners Group
2:30pm: Quicker Runners (less than 22mins for a flat 5km)
2:45pm: 5k Juniors - Start from half way water station - will need own transport to start line.
If you can't manage 11km, you can make up a team of 2 on the day and run/walk half each.
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of this event there will be medals for all finishers- thanks to John Fitton.
Once you have collected your medal at the top* and made your way back to the bottom of the hill, please join us Wakefield Hotel to further celebrate this anniversary. Waimea Harriers will provide hot chips!
*Or collect your medal from the Wakefield Hotel afterwards.
