Aug 13 and 20 at 6pm-8pm.
This are adult and youth oriented workshops.
The intention is to get the public interested in Asian culture and let them know we are here to support their interests and curiosities.
In this series, we focus on the art of Chinese Lion Dancing.
During the first session we go into the historical significance of celebration through dancing and music. We teach some basic movements and skills and introduce the students to the various instruments.
The 2nd season is to build on the basic skills and get students to perform a standard routine using authentic techniques, costumes and props.
At the end we will have videos and images for all participants to share with their friends and family.
