Join me on January 18th for our annual Deepen Your Practice New Year’s Workshop. An invitation to turn your awareness to the vital practices of winter self-care and the laying of the inner groundwork for the year ahead. In this workshop we will also explore the concept of Tapas.
Tapas is the third of Patanjali’s personal observances - the Niyamas - set out in his eight limbs of yoga. This Niyama is all about cultivating the fire inside us, the drive to pursue our passions and become a better version of ourselves - a fitting theme for the start of the year and one that we’ll have great fun exploring!
About Deepen Your Practice Workshops:
Our Deepen Your Practice Workshops are an opportunity to take your weekly class practice further, going deeper into the physical elements and the philosophy of yoga. Sessions begin with an active yang practice, incorporating breath work and meditation. This is followed by a break for a chat with me and your fellow yogis over tea and a nourishing seasonal homemade treat. Sessions close with yin and restorative yoga followed by a deeply relaxing yoga nidra.
Equipment to bring: your own mat, block, strap and a blanket or two. A bolster if you have one.
The cost of a three hour workshop is ÂŁ35 with an early bird discount of ÂŁ30. Spaces are given on a first come first served basis and are bookable directly through my website.
