In person event (at Wilson Middle School in Natick, MA) with limited seating. Register early! Audience is intended for adult community members.


Do you (or somebody you know) feel stuck and overwhelmed? Join psychologist and author Dr. Lisa Coyne PhD for an empowering session based on her book Stop Avoiding Stuff on Thursday, May 15th from 6:30–8:00 PM at Wilson Middle School. Learn practical microskills to promote mental wellness, face challenges that are outside of your control, support your loved ones, and move toward a more connected, meaningful life. This presentation will Include guided practices and small group discussions.

Ten Trees Books, Natick, will be on site for book sales and signing with Dr. Coyne following the event. Please view the "Know Before You Go" document here for parking info and additional event details.

This FREE event is part of Natick's May is Mental Health Awareness Month initiative and brought to the community by Natick 180, Natick Health Department, Spark Kindness, Morse Public Library, and Natick Service Council.

About Our Presenter

Lisa W. Coyne, PhD, is an assistant professor of psychology in the Department of Psychiatry, part-time, at Harvard Medical School, and is a senior clinical consultant at the Child and Adolescent OCD Institute (OCDI Jr.) at McLean Hospital. She is also an associate clinical professor at Suffolk University in Boston, a licensed clinical psychologist, and an internationally recognized acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) trainer.

Dr. Coyne has published numerous peer-reviewed articles and chapters on anxiety, OCD, and parenting. She is the author of “The Joy of Parenting: An Acceptance and Commitment Therapy Guide to Effective Parenting in the Early Years,” a book for parents of young children.
