Greetings! 😁 Our very first open day for 2026 will be Saturday 7 February from 1pm to 4pm - and we've got some exciting things happening for this very first open day for the year!
Firstly, this will be your first chance to see and experience a ride on our latest acquisition - bus 858, the Volvo B12 kindly donated to us by Kinetic #wearekinetic.
Secondly, since we are showcasing our newest member of the fleet, we thought it fitting to run an "All Volvo" flavour for the day - where 858 will be joined in providing joy rides by ONLY other Volvo buses from our fleet on our joyrides.
So if you're a fan of the Volvo marque - or these older European buses in general, then this will be a great day out.
We are planning to run the following buses (**subject to availability** - please remember, these are veteran buses that don't see frequent use, and although we will do our best to deliver them, we cannot guarantee that all of these exact buses will be running on the day)....
Bus 827 - our 1978 B59 - a member of the first fleet of BCC Volvos
Bus 185 - our 1989 B10M "Butterbox"
Bus 544 - the 1996 B10L Ansair Orana body
Bus 858 - our recently acquired Bustech VST bodied Volvo B12 in Surfside livery.
Gates open at Saturday 7 February (NOT this coming Saturday, but the next 😉 ) 1pm until 4pm at 600 Mains Rd, Nathan - next to Nissan Arena. Museum entry admission - $20 - cash or card payment accepted - includes free joyrides 😎
We'd love to see there!
