Hello Kids! I hope all is well with everyone. I can easily say it is for me these days. My life is becoming simpler as I get older, and I can finally see a clear path. It is actually exhilarating!
I am here to announce my last public performance here in Nashville as I retire from the Music Industry. My last show will be with The Randy Nations Band at Whiskey Bent Saloon on August 5th, 2025, from 6 pm-10 pm. Come on down to see how bad I really am to my critics. 😂😂😂😂 … but I digress…
This is a very positive move on my part. My mind and body are not in sync these days of my middle 50’s. My body is definitely winning the narrative of “Whoa!…. Easy there fella!” …. And it’s time that I heed what is being said. This is definitely a positive in my life. I love my wife and truly enjoy being at home with her. My daughter is getting married and ill nothha e to worry anout being out of town, or getting a sub…. Trust me, I’ve missed PLENTY of personal Family time over the last 35+ years. No more missing out on LIFE. Over the last year, I have acquired a full-time job at a business that incidentally supports the Grand Ole Opry and the Ryman Auditorium. So I guess I still have a pinky in the biz… 😉
There have been speculations, rumors, etc., that my wife and I are splitting up because of the mass selling off of my high-end drum gear and, more recently, the selling off of my side business equipment from Catone Creations. That couldn’t be farther from the truth. We are happier each and every day since we first met almost 12 years ago. So, sorry to ruin the dirt y’all are thinking and slinging. But that’s how the biz works. A lot like the Politics Rumor-Mill Spin to Win contests. 🤦🏻♂️
I am going to miss Randy, Pat, Phil & Shareen, along with my Nashville sister Alyssa. We’ve had a great time over the last (almost) 12 years at Whiskey Bent Saloon. These are the true friendships that will never die, and I’m proud to have y’all in that camp with me. And thank you to all who have supported us and especially Randy all these decades down on Lower Broadway.
So come on down any Tuesday between now and August 5th from 6 pm-10 pm and say hi. …. Or not. Your choice. I couldn’t be any happier or content in my life as I am currently. Let’s Celebrate !!
Thank you.
Best,
Mike
