Coffee then History @ TN State Museum

In 2018 the State of Tennessee opened the official Tennessee State Museum (not to be confused with TSU). This 137,000 sq. ft facility is one of the larger museums in the nation and includes significant artifacts related to the state's history, along with displays of art, furniture, textiles, and more.

Of most notable interest to me are the records of Black history including slavery in the state, Civil War, emancipation, and reconstruction.

It's an impressive collection for Tennessee, and admission is FREE.

We'll meet and greet at Farm City Coffee next door inside the Farmer's Market for 20 minutes or so at the tall tables on the museum side of the market main building, then we'll stroll over to the museum. So please arrive on time so you can meet everyone.

1:30 PM Meeting Location:
Farm City Coffee inside the Farmers Market.
We'll go to the museum at 1:50 PM or so.
Unfortunately, we cannot take coffee into the exhibitions.

Parking:
Free parking is available in the parking lot which is located between the Museum and the Nashville Farmers’ Market. There is also free two-hour parking available along 6th and 7th Avenues. State of Tennessee parking lots may also be available unless otherwise stated or reserved.
