Join us for our Silent Book Club at Local Habit, with a fun twist—a book swap! Whether you’re a fan of physical books, e-books, or audiobooks, this is the perfect time to unwind, dive into your current read, and enjoy a peaceful hour of solo reading in great company. Plus, bring a book to swap and discover something new!
What to Expect:
• Bring your favorite book (physical, Kindle, or audiobook)! If you’re unsure what to read, don’t worry – we’ll have recommendations and extra books available for everyone. Feel free to bring a book you’d like to swap with others!
• Grab a coffee or snack – We’ll be meeting at Local Habit, so order your favorite drink or treat to enjoy as you read.
• Quiet atmosphere – After a brief introduction, we’ll have a full hour of undisturbed reading time. Let the books do the talking!
Schedule:
• 1:00-1:30pm – Arrival & Social Time:
Get comfortable, grab your drink or snack, and share what you’re reading with fellow book lovers. If you’re not sure where to start, this is a great time to get book recommendations from others—and don’t forget to bring a book to swap if you’d like!
• 1:30-2:30pm – Quiet Reading Hour:
Time to focus and immerse yourself in your book of choice. No talking, just reading and relaxing in a peaceful environment.
• 2:30-3:00pm – Optional Socializing or Extended Reading:
Feel free to stay for some casual conversation with fellow attendees, swap more books, or keep reading if you’re in the zone!
Special Notes:
• This event is designed for anyone looking to read, relax, and connect with others over a shared love of books.
• There will be a book swap table, where you can leave a book and take a new one, or simply browse and find something new to read.
• We’ll also be offering reading suggestions across all genres, so you’ll never be at a loss for your next book.
