Hunting Mushrooms in the Autumn

Sunday, September 28th, 1:00-3:00–The Friends of Canonchet Farm will open their fall guided walks program with a favorite. Ryan and Emily Bouchard of The Mushroom Hunting Foundation will again lead the group along the farm’s trails to find diverse autumn mushrooms in their natural habitats, demonstrating useful tools and techniques for collecting. They will discuss mushroom science and safety rules, putting special emphasis on the edible summer species that are considered “safe for beginners” to cook with. We will meet at the South County Museum, 115 Strathmore St., Narragansett. You don't need to print a ticket. Just register and come!
