CSFG General Meeting

Hey everyone This Wednesday at 7:30pm we have our General Meeting at the Burns Club in Kambah (and online). We have the genuine pleasure to have Dr Yaritji Green (she/her) as our guest for a Q&A session.

Yaritji is a Yankunytjatjara/Djaru woman who has been attending Aussie SFF conventions since Continuum's 2005 Creatures Natural and Unnatural. That same year, she also organised a National Indigenous Writer's Festival in Adelaide. She has also coordinated NAIDOC (National Aboriginal and Islander Day Observance Committee) Festivals in South Australia and Western Australia. She is on the committee for the Brisbane in 2028 WorldCon bid.

Outside of SFF, Yaritji is a medical doctor with extensive experience in general practice and rural and remote Australian communities, and will be answering our questions!

This is an exciting opportunity to hear from a perspective that tends to get marginalized and ignored especially in SFF, and I personally can't wait!
