SPACE is hosting an Art/Craft Supplies Swap Meet as a fundraising event for Yarn, Support, Connect - Coonabarabran Suicide Prevention Network.
How this works
Before the day
You de-stash your art/craft supplies and select the new, lightly used, clean, safe, art and craft supplies that you no longer have a use for. Bring the items in the week before the meet and drop off.
Pay $5 and you will be issued a ticket.
On the day
At 10am come in to SPACE for a coffee and a chat while we get you in line in order of your ticket number. Latecomers (after 10:30am) will go to the back of the line
At 10:30am the items will uncovered on the tables and everyone will take a turn around the tables looking at what is available but not taking anything.
The queue members will then be given a Woolies paper shopping bag and take a second turn around the tables to pick their first choice of items. The queue will then do their final round around to pick up their final choice.
After the contributors have chosen their picks, people who have not contributed anything to the tables can also take a turn around the tables after paying a $5 fee on the day.
Ground rules
- Politeness and courtesy first (no snatching, hoarding, pushing, shoving, or generally being unpleasant). Any aggro will mean immediate removal from SPACE.
- No dirty, unusable, low quality, dangerous, leaking, items - we want this to be a fun and safe event for everyone
- There's no obligation to take as much as you brought in if you don't want to, but please do not take more than you did, that is not fair
