You are invited to this unique cross-artform workshop where you'll explore the delicate beauty of each passing moment through painting and drawing in response to live movement. Working with artist facilitators Billy Maxwell-Taylor and Phoebe Lester, you'll be guided by spiralling acrobatics and the slow, expressive imagery of butoh—a form of Japanese dance theatre known for its meditative, dreamlike quality.
Set to ambient music, with tea and coffee available, this is a chance to pause, observe, and create in a calm, inspiring environment.
All materials are provided, but we encourage you to bring your own—especially those forgotten or unused tools gathering dust at home.
Whether you’re a seasoned artist or simply curious, join us for an afternoon of calm, creativity, and connection.
