Learn how to use static bat detectors to survey for barbastelle bats

Join a two-part workshop to learn how to use static bat detectors in a woodland. During the first session you'll learn how to use the detectors and deploy them on site. A week later, we’ll return for the second session and learn how to collect the detectors for analysis by the Project Officer. These activities will contribute survey data for each woodland.

For Canaston Woods, the workshop dates are as follows:
Installation on Saturday 21 June, 10am to 3pm
Collection on Saturday 28 June, 10am to 3pm

We’ll be working as a team in woodland for most of the day, and so you will need to be able to walk through woodlands with uneven ground and a variety of vegetation.
