Join us for an unmissable afternoon of high fashion, heartfelt storytelling, and French - inspired flair at The Style Soirée - the signature fundraising event for the Kaha Sisters, a team of 12 incredible breast cancer survivors from Hawke’s Bay.
Held at the iconic Old Church in Meeanee on Saturday, 12 July 2025, this elegant runway event blends style and soul in support of something truly powerful: helping the Kaha Sisters
reach the International Breast Cancer Dragon Boat Festival in France, 2026.
✨ Why This Event Matters
Dragon boating is more than a sport - for these wāhine, it’s a vital part of breast cancer recovery. Proven to improve strength, reduce lymphoedema, and boost mental wellbeing, paddling has become a lifeline. This event helps fund their journey to compete on the global
stage alongside over 4,500 survivors from 37 countries — a once-in-a-lifetime experience of connection, resilience, and international sisterhood.

Step into an immersive fashion experience guided by stylist Lesley Leech of Raspberry Beret, showcasing pre-loved and reimagined looks that challenge every fashion rule — and
prove that style has no age, shape, or barrier.

Eleven of our runway models are Kaha Sisters themselves — joined by other incredible wāhine — redefining beauty and bravery, one look at a time.

• French-inspired canapés, bubbles, and petit fours
• A live auction featuring luxury items, curated fashion, art, and accommodation packages
• An inspirational keynote from Korrin Barrett — a quadruple amputee, speaker, and absolute force
• Light-hearted hosting by the très fabulous “Jean-Paul Gaultier” and mysterious “Madame Vivienne Westwood” — expect wit, glamour, and unforgettable moments
