Join Shelley at the exquisite Poole Hall, Nantwich, for a day of exploring the paths of Yoga that can support you in accessing inner healing - a way to soothe the soul.
In Yoga, ‘Atman’ refers to the eternal soul that resides within us all. It is not born or dies, it is ageless, unchanging - separate from the mind and the body. The Bhagavad Gita discusses the concept of ‘the Self’, ‘Atman’, the eternal soul. Krishna describes ‘Atman’ as indestructible, unaffected by the polarities of this human life. Imagine experiencing bliss within this turbulent life, regardless of the storm around us, we stay balanced, at one with everything and everyone around us. Yoga gives us the tools to move towards this, maybe we have glimpses of this bliss, maybe we wish to experience this and trust the process, the science of Yoga.
During this day retreat, Shelley will offer a variety of practices which the yogic texts highlight as paths to Yoga - Unity. Everyone is unique and therefore everyone will resonate with one path more deeply than others.
Bhakti Yoga - the Yoga of Devotional Practise
Jana Yoga - the Yoga of Knowledge
Karma Yoga - the Yoga of Selfless Action (don’t worry you won’t be doing chores 🙂)
Raja Yoga - the Yoga of Discipline
Shelley will share insights from ancient texts as well as modern day science, supporting your experience.
A nourishing lunch created by Yasmin's Kitchen will be provided, as well as drinks offered on arrival + snacks.
The cancellation window for this day retreat is two weeks. Any cancellations during the two weeks prior to the event will not be offered a refund. You can however send someone in your place if you can't make it yourself.
