Total Hip Replacement is known for its energetic and unique live concerts. The music grows from solid roots of reggae, soul, afro and indie, uniting pulsating grooves, colourful horn riffs and soul drenched vocals. The sound is warm and hopeful, but the messages are direct and revolve around the worrying direction in which the world is turning. Live the band creates an inclusive space, bubbling with infectious playfulness.
2022-2024 has been explosive years for the band seeing the release of the “Anyankofo” album and extensive touring in Europe, South America and West Africa with more than 120 shows and thousands of listeners. Both album and live- shows were critically acclaimed with good reviews in mag- azines and radio. This culminated with succesful perfor- mances at legendary festivals such as Bout Du Monde (FR) and Reggae Jam (DE).
