Tom Wilson is a Canadian treasure.
A musician, author and visual artist whose memoir, Beautiful Scars, is published by Penguin/Random House and has become a national bestseller.
For one night in Chase River, Tom Wilson will be joined by his son, Thompson to share in an evening of exploring the singer-songwriter's lifetime quest to find himself through music, art and writing... leading to his discover of his true identity as a Mohawk man.
Touring as one of the lead singers of Blackie and the Rodeo Kings (BARK), puts Wilson on Vancouver Island for a few solo dates after the performance of BARK on Salt Spring on July 15th.
The Song Shelter last presented Tom Wilson as a "Mystery Guest" and is delighted to have him return to continue sharing about his life and legacy.
How does a house concert work?
Well, you bring your own chair or blanket, BYOB (water available onsite) an appetizer for the table if you are so inclined to share.
Arrive to the home and come through the carport - you will see the path to the back of the back yard where we will set up for the evening. Choose your grass patch and mingle with other lovely music ravenous guests!
The show will be broken up into two sets of storytelling and music - starting at 8PM and then again at 9:15PM.
The show is over around 10PM to get you home before you turn into a pumpkin!
Take your belongings and your full heart and sleep soundly!
